‘as is’ is the debut release by this long standing duo from sydneys experimental underground. The pair first started making music together in 2008 and have since gone on to form a uniquely complex yet unified sound, often being described as a single entity. With the addition of German pianist Magda Mayas the duo becomes Great Waitress, who released their ablum ‘lucid’ on splitrec last year. This is their first release as a duo.

This recording was made inside a concrete room in an old brewery/department store turned artists studio surrounded by multiple construction sites in the centre of Sydney.

With a limited run of 100, this cdr is presented on 100% recycled cardstock, with individually hand cut cover art by Rosita Bridget Holmes.
